As a commercial photographer we usually don't go out with camera gear to enjoy the countryside. Photography is work after all. When we did some sort of landscape photography back in the Netherlands, we did it because the publication needed images of the 'so and so' area and I had a clear brief what to capture, why and where.
Up here in Scotland I it is different. I am a bit like a tourist with more time on his hands and stunning scenery literally on the doorstep. I don't have to run around like a happy snapper to get as much images as possible to show of 'friends back home'.
Just every now and then when I feel like it, I go out and about with a vague idea what to shoot and do just that. It could be a short walk or a few hours driving (and even walking believe it or not) and I could come back with the one image I wanted.
No client, no invoice, but a very happy 'snapper'!
So please come back to this page, because it will certainly grow!
Worth a look is the link to large Panoramic images on the Large Format page.
